1. Who operates Inkora
Inkora is a family e-ink calendar project operated by Vojtěch Sejkora. Contact information for privacy-related questions is available on the Support page.
2. Community forms
The Inkora website provides forms for feature suggestions, voting and bug reports. A bug report may optionally include an email address if you want to allow follow-up questions.
To limit repeated voting and abuse, the website may process basic technical information such as IP address and browser identification and convert it into a non-public technical identifier.
Submitted information is used only for maintaining and improving Inkora. It is not sold, rented or used for advertising profiling.
Contact support if you want your website contact removed.
3. What calendar data Inkora uses
After you explicitly connect a calendar account, Inkora can retrieve the list of available calendars and events from the calendars you select.
Depending on the connected service and event, the device may process information needed for display such as calendar name, event title, date, start and end time, and whether the event is an all-day event.
Calendar data is used to display your calendar on the Inkora e-ink device. It is not used for advertising, behavioral profiling or analytics of your personal calendar content.
4. Google Calendar connection
Google Calendar is connected through Google authorization. Inkora uses the read-only Google Calendar scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly.
This scope is used to retrieve available calendars and events from calendars selected by the user. It does not give Inkora permission to create, modify or delete Google Calendar events.
Google sign-in and authorization do not pass through a server operated by the Inkora project. The project operator does not receive your Google password or the calendar content stored on the device.
5. Apple / iCloud Calendar connection
Apple/iCloud calendars are connected using the Apple account identifier and an app-specific password created by the user in their Apple account.
The app-specific password is used by the Inkora device to connect directly to the required Apple/iCloud calendar service. It is not sent to the Inkora project operator.
Inkora uses the Apple/iCloud calendar connection only to list calendars selected by the user and read their events for display. Inkora does not create, modify or delete Apple/iCloud calendar events.
6. Read-only calendar behavior
Inkora is designed as a calendar display, not as a calendar editor.
The firmware does not provide functionality for creating, editing or deleting events. Calendar integrations are used only for retrieving and displaying calendar information.
The basic principle is: Inkora reads your calendar. It does not manage your calendar.
7. Where calendar data is stored
Calendar events, selected-calendar configuration and credentials or tokens required for synchronization are stored locally on the user’s Inkora device according to the capabilities of the installed firmware version.
Cached events and weather data may remain on the device so the e-ink display can continue showing the last available information during a temporary Wi-Fi or service outage.
The Inkora project does not operate a central database containing all users’ calendar events.
8. Sharing calendar data
The Inkora project operator does not sell, rent or share your calendar content with advertisers.
The device communicates with the services required to provide the selected functionality, for example Google or Apple for calendar synchronization and the configured weather provider for weather information.
Calendar event content is not intentionally sent to the Inkora project operator as part of normal synchronization or firmware update checks.
9. Weather, region and other information
Inkora may use the configured location or region to obtain weather information and select region-specific content such as holidays or name days.
Waste-collection information and other local features depend on the configuration and data available for the selected region.
10. Removing calendar access
Google Calendar access can be revoked from the connected-applications section of your Google account. After revocation, Inkora will no longer be able to retrieve new Google Calendar data until the account is connected again.
For Apple/iCloud, you can revoke the app-specific password from your Apple account. Inkora will then no longer be able to use that credential to retrieve new iCloud calendar data.
Locally stored account data can also be removed using the account-removal or device-reset functions available in the installed Inkora firmware.
11. Firmware updates
Inkora can check for firmware updates and download a newer firmware version. Firmware update checks are not intended to upload your calendar event content, Google tokens or iCloud app-specific password to the project operator.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Inkora project develops. The current version will be published on this page.
